Extra-Curricular Activities
StarChild Academy Waterford Lakes offers a variety of extra-curricular activities to enhance your child's academic experience. These activities are offered on our campus during the school day while your child is at StarChild Academy so that you never need to worry about transporting your child to another facility or waiting around for your child to finish their classes.
We offer the following extra-curricular activities:
CyberKids Academy
StarChild Academy - Waterford Lakes offers extra-curricular computer classes taught by CyberKids Academy. CyberKids is leading the way in preparing today's children with the skills they will need for tomorrow's world.
Children ages 2 to 5 enjoy innovative, hands-on computer adventures right here at StarChild Academy. A highly qualified teacher brings a multi-station computer lab and all the necessary supplies to create a dynamic learning experience for your child.
Your child is invited to join the fun and get a head-start learning valuable skills for the 21st Century.
Classes for pre-schoolers ages 2 through 5 meet on Mondays beginning at 3:15 PM. Tuition is $50 for four classes per month. There is a $15 annual registration fee for this program.
Kinderdance
StarChild Academy - Waterford Lakes offers extra-curricular dance classes taught by Kinderdance. These classes are designed for pre-school children (3 to 5 years old). A combination of pre-ballet, gymnastics, creative movement and tap dancing make these classes a wonderful introduction to the world of dance.
Classes for 3 through 5 year olds meet on Wednesdays beginning at 2:45 p.m. Tuition is $50 per month. There is a one time, $20 registration fee, payable on registration. Registration can be completed on-line at www.kd1968.com.

Playball
Playball is a gross motor skill movement program. By using sport as a means, Playball provides a sound base from which to develop every aspect of the child’s life. It has been scientifically proven that early physical activity has a profound influence on academic performance. Playball addresses the whole child and is committed to developing the benefits of social, emotional, cognitive and physical areas.
Playball comes to the safe, familiar environment of StarChild Academy-Waterford Lakes once a week for a 30 minute action-packed program.
Playball meets weekly on Tuesdays beginning at 2:30 p.m. Tuition is $40 per month plus a $10 registration fee (includes a FREE Sporty t-shirt).

Euro Soccer
Soccer Shots is a program offered to children 3 to 5 years old that meets once a week to introduce your child to Soccer! Their instructors are energetic and enthusiastic, are great teachers, and love working with children. They not only teach soccer skills, but also work on improving balance, coordination, and agility with the children. Soccer Shots also uses the sessions to teach children important concepts such as teamwork, sharing, and respect.
Soccer Shots is a program designed to teach children the beautiful game of soccer. One of their trademarks is the developmentally-appropriate curriculum they use that emphasizes creative play, enjoyment of sports, and character building lessons. Their coaches are energetic and enthusiastic individuals who love working with children of all ages.
Classes meet on Fridays beginning at 3:00 pm. Sessions are approximately 30 minutes in length.
The cost is $99 for a 9 week Season, including a Jersey. Registration/sign-up can be completed online at www.Orlando.ssreg.org.
